WebJul 21, 2012 · On the PTR, for the time being, you do not gain the firecat model by transmogrifying another staff with the Flamescythe. However, you can switch to the Flamescythe in combat, gain the firecat model, then switch back to your weapon of choice. You will retain the firecat model until combat ends. The fact that you have been unlucky with drops is irrelevant and does not change the fact that it’s tied to the staff. Not sure why that’s so confusing to people. Here’s a link to my “mean” joke.
